The subtle, silky wood texture is characterised by a varied layout of whole and cut flowers, as well as striped areas of closely spaced graining. The latter are broken up in different ways, giving them a very natural appearance. Florence is silky matt on the surface and deeply matt in the valleys, giving it an elegant appearance and making it particularly suitable for high-quality woods such as walnut and fruitwoods. The texture also works well on woods with barely visible pores, such as beech or maple. The soft transitions within the relatively smooth structure prevent the greying of dark decors, that often occurs with matt structures.
