When sea and sky unite
From the geothermal water and prime location, the seven-step bathing ritual to the many and varied design decisions, every detail of the Sky Lagoon has been carefully thought through. The peat wall and the turf house form the outer frame. The wall was built in the classical from heavy marsh turf and peat processed into tiles. The entrance leads the guests to their spa experience, the 7-step ritual of Icelandic bathing culture with its steps of deceleration, cooling, sauna, refreshment, body scrub, steam bath and shower.
The perfect place to relax
In order to carry this overall concept further in the interior and at the same time modern demands on comfort, durability, resilience and ease of cleaning, the choice of materials and decisions for the materials for the furniture and interior fittings were selected and was pursued just as purposefully. Special attention was paid to the changing and showers, as these are the most important areas between the individual steps of the bathing ritual and at the end of it interface with public traffic.
In terms of decor, the decision was made in favour of decor R20038 Natural Chalet Oak in the Rustic surface texture. The unobtrusive, monochrome oak lead with its natural-rustic finish and planked flower and branch attachments the unobtrusive, monochrome oak seamlessly the traditional building concept in the interior.
