The German Alpine Association (DAV) in Neumarkt, with around 5,100 members, is passionate about the mountains and protecting nature. For this reason, when selecting materials for the new DAV climbing hall in Neumarkt, particular attention was paid to environmentally friendly and healthy construction methods. In the end, only a natural wood-based material such as Pfleiderer LivingBoard was considered. The board was used for both the timber frame construction and the visual cladding of the interior because of its structural and aesthetic qualities.
